Little Bows Peep ~ Product Shoot

I've been meaning to blog this session for the past week, but with my family and I all coming down with the flu I just haven't any energy to get on here.

But without further ado... I would love to share with you my Product Photo Session I did for Little Bows Peep..

Her creations are adorable aren't they?! I could quite easily buy everything she has if I had the $$$.
And of course I cannot forget to credit these two little cherubs that modelled for me..
It wasn't the warmest of afternoons when we did the shoot, but these two sweethearts were simply adorable. ♥

Above little Miss on the left is wearing  the elegant light pink on chocolate brown curled goose feather pad adorned with lace and a stunning pearl cluster metal rhinestone center.
You will receive this securely attached to a brown foe headband.

Chic and simple, this headband is a must have!

This will make a beautiful accessory for portraits or any dressy occasion.

Above little Miss is wearing a Sweet Shabby Chic Style headband with two 2" red shabby chiffon flowers adorned with a small rhinestone center.
Flowers are attached to a soft white foe elastic headband.

This will make a beautiful accessory for Valentine's Day or Christmas Festivities.

Above little Miss is wearing a Princess Lace Petti Romper in White, made with vintage inspired delicate soft lace, very soft to the touch.

Lace petti rompers make the perfect unique outfit, pair with a lovely flower, hat or headband, perfect for photo shoots, birthdays, holidays, weddings or when you need a little something special.

Your little one will look adorable in this sweet earflap hat with a fluffy flower with little ears that resemble a monkey or a bear.
The flower is attached to a lined clip that can be removed so a little boy can wear the hat or flower can be worn separately.

100 Strangers #2

Well here I am again.. with my 2nd installment of "100 Strangers".

This afternoon I had to head into town to do a few things, so I grabbed my camera to take with me in the hope I would have the courage yet again to approach someone that caught me eye for my project.
I saw a couple not far from where I'd parked my car.. while waiting for them both to finish what they were doing.. I played out my introduction in my head.. and grabbed out one of my business cards.
They started walking away from the shops so I quickened my pace to catch up with them...
As I got close enough, I politely called out to them "Excuse me... Hi Hello. I'm Kylie. I have a ridiculously unusual request to ask you.. I've started a personal project of  photographing 100 Strangers.. to help me improve and strengthen on my social and technical photographic skills.. Please would it be ok if I photographed you both?".

The couple spoke with one another... and the guys partner told him she didn't want their photo taken... which was such a great disappointment.. this woman was stunning! Gorgeous brown skin, Afro corn braids all the way down to her back.. and he had dreadlocks.. most of which were hidden under his cap...
But then her partner turned to me..hesitantly agreed and said he would allow me to photograph him..
YAYEEEEEE.. I was adamant moments before i would have to chalk this one off as another rejection.
So below is my Stranger #4 :o)

If the couple who i photographed find this blog entry, and would like a copy of this image... please send me an email at admin@kyliebrandphotography.com :o)  Thank you so much for allowing me to continue in this journey of mine!

100 Strangers #1

Shot my first stranger today... Hehehehe..

Ok I mean I photographed my first stranger (actually 3) today for my personal photography challenge...

I finally got out of my comfort zone today and hit the streets to find my first stranger to shoot ;o)

At first I literally walked around a block.. Summoning up the courage to approach a Sudenese woman and her mother... But just as I got close to them at the taxi rank..they were picked up by their family... I then walked further down the road looking for someone else to approach.. And a very tall sudenese man caught my eye... I walked up and asked him.. But he kept walking shaking his head..

So then I headed back to my car... And these three guys were heading towards me.. The eldest one of the three caught my eye with his curly ringlet hair... So I ran the spiel past them explaining about a personal challenge I'd set up for myself, and would they mind me photographing them?...

They agreed to me taking their photo... But I think it was only because I asked all 3 of them together :o)

And so without further ado... I present you with three awesome guys... who kindly allowed me to start my journey in photographing 100 Strangers!!

Guys... If you've found your way here with the details I gave you..
I hope you like the shots I've taken.. if you'd like a copy, please email me at admin@kyliebrandphotography.com or leave me your email address in a comment below and I'll get your details that way :o)

You guys were legends.. THANK YOU!

100 Strangers

Oh my gawwwd I really have been slack with my blog...

Well hopefully a couple of projects I'm starting will help me to grow more with my blogging skills amoung some other skills, which is the whole reason I've decided to take them on.

My 1st project which I already started is "A Photo A Day".. so far I've only committed myself to the month of January... as I'd already  tried the "365 Day Challenge" last year which teetered off somewhat after May..

If this month goes well I may resume it again in July.

My 2nd project is "100 Strangers" where I approach complete strangers, ask them if I can take their photograph so that I may better my social and technical skills.. and also learn more about people in my community.

Being a Mum of 4 children.. it can be hard trying to find the time to get on here and post my most recent shots... but hopefully once I start my "100 Strangers" challenge I'll push myself more to share with you all how I'm going and how it's helping me grow as a photographer.

So.. for now I'll leave you with images i've already taken of my Family in my "Photo A Day" challenge :o)

Please feel free to leave a comment, as I reeeeally do enjoy reading them.
And if you are undertaking a similar challenge or would like to share some of your images, please leave a link to them so that I may check them all out :o)

Cheers
kyles
