Photo A Day Challenge ~ Day 8

My hubby does the shopping every Saturday morning for me, and usually takes one of our children each time with him. Today he took both our eldest Zachery & Darcy.

So whilst they were out shopping and while Angus our youngest was asleep taking a nap, Tilly and I headed outside so I could hang out the washing, and of course I had my camera with me... as you do :-)

So inbetween me hanging out the clothes I took some photos of Tilly scrubbing down our garage walls...
Hmmm I could think of better walls she could be scrubbing, for instance the ones she drew on inside the house.

Anyway... so here are two of the photos taken. I quite like the rustic look of our garage, the tumble weed looking weeds, the paint stripped old door, old switch lights & the old fashioned windows.

Photo A Day Challenge ~ Day 7

Well today is "All About Me" :)

I was struggling a little to work out which photo of my children I would use for today...
And then decided I didn't really have a recent photo of myself I was happy with.

So out came the tripod, put it on manual, stuck it onto auto-timer & auto focus, and I ran as quick as my legs would carry me..
The shot you see below was my 12th or 13th attempt.... It's not easy working out where you should place yourself when trying to master a self portrait..

Especially when your two daughters are racing around on their bicycles close by the tripod... Eeeeek!! Oh and it doesn't help when the sun decides to show it's full glory from those clouds either..

Photo A Day Challenge ~ Day 6

I'm a little late posting again... ( I can see this becoming a frequent habit ) as I was experimenting with a new type of storyboard I had wanted to try out...
Another photographer had done something similar, not the same, but similar.. and so I wanted to see if I could re-create it, and then adapt it to my own style...

So for yesterday's "Photo A Day" I actually have a few entries...

This particular shot was taken of my two boys in the front yard..
Zach's friends, scattered from up and down the street had all come over asking if Zach was allowed to come and join them again for their scooter, rip-stick, power wing, solo skate shenanigans on the road... which reminds me.. If I can get permission from their parents, I'll take a few shots of them zipping up and down the street together in the near future. Anyway.. when they came over to ask... Zach took his little brother Angus out to show off to his friends..

Before heading back inside with him... I took advantage of the nice sunlight outside, and snapped up this photo below.
I could'nt work out whether I preferred the Vintage colour style or the B&W conversion... so we'll have both here today :)

Which do you like better??

Clicking on the images will bring them up to their original size :)

Then... once I had gotten our little Gus to sleep, The girls and I headed outside, where the girls decided they wanted to show me some of their Trampoline "moves".. hehehe

Every now and again... they'd argue over who was getting more photographs taken.. I took quite a few, as I'm still learning how to master shots with fast movement.. I think I may have worked it out now... unfortunately it didn't come to me while i was taking the shots, so this will have to be put into practice another time.

So here we have the storyboard I was telling you about...

Well it's time for me to shoot off again and get ready for another photo of the day.

{Edit to add}

Ooops I've just realised I never posted Day 4...

This is another project of mine...
I was originally going to do one with all 4 of my kids, but when taking the photos.. my youngest was asleep, and by the time he woke.. we'd missed out on using the natural sunlight outside to take a shot... when I've got time I'll try and finish that project :)

And so here we have 1 of my kids from our "Brandy Bunch"

Finally... after a few hiccups, I've managed to create my 1st Stop Motion Movie

The kids and I enjoyed making this so much, they've asked to do another tomorrow... Hmmm, we'll see...

Anyway, hope you enjoy it :)

Tilly & Darcy's Tea Party

On Sunday not only Did I promise my girls their lollipops... but they also insisted they have a tea party outside... So with great haste they got out their purrrdy pink tea set that they got from their Omi & Opa (my parents) for Christmas...
